Capitalism as an economic system, although not perfect, is arguably the closest thing we have to equality of opportunity. It creates the conditions for the human mind to be fully utilized and for individuals to fulfill their purpose. And it is this emphasis on individual's potential that Bezos is highlighting, that inadvertently leads to broader societal prosperity.
Jeff Bezos: "If I do my job right, the value to society and civilization from my for-profit companies will be much, much larger than the good that I do with my charitable giving."
@mkstalin@TVKVijayHQ@Udhaystalin This is what happens when love for your state outweighs personal ego. Tamils have always carried a quiet humility, and it is one of the reasons for their enduring success.

In a massive jolt to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday, its Rajya Sabha MPs, including Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, quit the party.
Addressing a joint press conference, Pathak said he was going to join the BJP. However, Chadha said that nearly two-thirds of AAP's Rajya Sabha MPs have quit the party and will join the BJP as a faction. instagram.com/p/DXgvfk6jRSH/…
So, Amazon has essentially entered the 3PL business. Opening its massive multimodal logistics network through ASCS is only logical given the fact that they are now the largest delivery provider in the U.S., having just surpassed USPS last year. And just like AWS, which turned Amazon’s internal cost center into a giant profit making machine, dare I say ASCS has the potential to be even bigger.
TODAY: Amazon is opening its entire logistics network—freight, distribution, fulfillment, and parcel shipping capabilities—to every business, of all types and sizes. 📦
Amazon has built one of the most reliable and efficient supply chains on Earth. Now, Amazon Supply Chain Services gives all businesses access to the same infrastructure that moves, stores, and ships goods for hundreds of thousands of Amazon sellers.
Healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, retail, and more. Businesses across industries can now tap into Amazon's logistics network. Learn more here. ⬇️
@ganeshchetan What's happening in Tamil Nadu is unbelievable. Karnataka needs something like that to create a strong regional identity and unify the entire state. The south cannot be at the mercy of these so called national parties.
After the success of Pawan Kalyan & Vijay, will Sudeep & Rishabh Shetty be the next two who will be launched by the establishment to make inroads into South India?
I hope this film does for us what was done for the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, that it opens the eyes of many to why Christ had to suffer all that He did, as portrayed in the prequel, The Passion of the Christ by connecting the story from the Garden of Eden to the Garden of Gethsemane.
Mel Gibson finishes principal photography for his upcoming film, The Resurrection of the Christ, in Italy, and here's the first look at actor Jaakko Ohtonen as Jesus Christ hugging the crew. In the image, you can even see the nail holes on Othonen's hand. Shot in two parts back to back with an estimated budget of $250 million, this is Gibson's most costly film to date and it's set for release in 2027: Part one on March 26th and Part two on May 6th.
@piyushbodaa It must begin with the Union government devolving greater financial/ administrative powers to the states, and the states doing the same for districts and cities.
All prosperous countries have one thing in common, they are all decentralised
Decentralisation works across all political and economical models
United States - Decentralised
China - Decentralised
Singapore - Decentralised
Switzerland - Decentralised
In China, 51% of the total government spending is controlled at the city level, 27% in the US, whereas in India it is mere 3%
This makes India far more centralised than nearly all countries in the world. Why are we so obsessed about centralised spending of money from Delhi ?
Why can't we decentralise ?
@kushanmitra The subcontinent will indeed test you with its fierce summer heat, but it will also reward you with the kind of monsoon rains seen nowhere else on earth.
The entire purpose of the Islamic Regime is to destroy the "Little Satan" and dismantle "Great Satan’s" influence across the region. Their only path to that goal is a credible nuclear threat. They wouldn't give up on that, it's existential and these are not rational people. The US of course knew this going into the negotiations, but will they now unleash more destruction to buy time or settle with sanctions 2.0, is what's to be seen.
Food for thought.
The mission was never negotiation. It was documentation. In the language of Sun Tzu, when peace is impossible, you must first appear to seek it, so that when force follows, it is seen not as aggression but inevitability.
Sending JD Vance, a man whose reputation is peace, into a hopeless stalemate was not naïveté, but design. The U.S. didn’t go to talk. It went to witness. And when Tehran overturned the table with the camera rolling, the trap was complete: legitimacy secured, perception shaped, and the next move pre‑justified.
Have a nice day.
I grew up in New England and have been tracking nor’easters since I was a kid. I’m honestly a little speechless seeing the latest data come in.
This really IS going to be the memorable “Blizzard of 2026” 💣🌀❄️
@AshwiniVaishnaw The past few years mark a pivotal phase in India’s history, as we move closer and closer to the west. Can't complain, we are economically better off with the west.
@chipsandpol Hyd-Blr-Chn has the potential to become the greatest tech megaregion in the world. Faster transit between these cities will help this triangle grow tremendously in the coming decades.
