🎓 Today, I’m proud to celebrate the graduation of our Reconstructive Urology & Cancer Survivorship fellow — someone I’ve had the privilege of mentoring since she was a junior resident. 🧵

Thanks to all who joined us at the Prosthetic Urology Institute: Fellows Course in Dallas! Attendees focused on advanced procedures and complex case management for erectile dysfunction and male incontinence with complex case discussions and cadaveric hands-on lab.

@CanesDavid I actually tried to incorporate this exact picture into our TURBT post op instructions as a QI project and the epic rep told me it could not be done. Maybe it was an institution specific issue 🤷🏼‍♀️

So here's what you do: You make a dot phrase. You include a screen snip of the photo. You put it in the note for every gross hematuria consult. Use it for CBI order sets. Slowly but surely you'll see it diffuse. "Patient has grade 3 on slow CBI" Or post TURBT: "It's grade 3 off CBI can we send him home?" It's a beautiful thing. #EpicShortCuts

if you’re still describing hematuria in terms of beverages… 🩸‼️🍷 Consider this grading scale instead which really simplifies communication. (I have to dig up the reference)

This past weekend I #graduated from #residency at @UMNUrology …I cannot begin to describe my emotions, but the overwhelming feeling is gratitude. Tonight I celebrated with my two best friends/co-chiefs Brent & @albersheim and spouses. S/O to @DrDAgarwal for the grad gift!
