I spend ages choosing clothes. Always been the same. Bought this jacket today. Tried it on in the store, then couldn’t decide so walked around for a bit. Then back to the shop and faffed about again. Then bought it. Love it. Now I’m STILL undecided 🤷‍♀️ Anyone else like this?

My Lovely Horse Rescue
My Lovely Horse Rescue@MyLovelyHorseR·
💔💔💔RIP Patricia (Patty) 💔💔💔 Today, with the heaviest of hearts, we say goodbye to Patricia. Despite every effort from our team and the incredible vets and nurses at UCD Veterinary Hospital, her body could no longer fight. Her liver failed, her organs began to shut down… and we lost her. This video was taken yesterday evening 💔💔💔🥲🥲🥲 Patricia didn’t deserve this. She was rescued on St. Patrick’s Day in a horrific state, emaciated, injured, her hooves in bits, her body marked, and an embedded head collar that made it hard for her to even breathe. What she endured was not just neglect…it was cruelty 💔😡 And someone is responsible. This cannot keep happening. Animals like Patricia are suffering in silence, and too often, those responsible face no consequences. That has to change. But in her final days, Patricia knew something different. She knew care. She knew kindness. She knew that a whole team was fighting for her, loving her, and refusing to give up on her. We are heartbroken. We are angry. But we are not done. We will keep fighting. We will keep rescuing. We will keep giving every animal a chance at the life they deserve. To donate: donate.mylovelyhorserescue.com/one-off/ Please stand with us. Speak up. Support rescue efforts. Demand better. For Patricia. 💔💔💔💔💔💔

🚨 BREAKING: President Trump just ENDED UK PM Keir Starmer's whole career in the Oval Office *Turns around*: "I'm DISAPPOINTED. You see that man right there? Know who that is? The late, great WINSTON CHURCHILL." "Unfortunately, Keir Starmer is NOT Winston Churchill." 🔥🔥

She couldn’t even stand today… 💔🫏 Willow’s back legs were so weak that she collapsed and sat helplessly on the ground. Our team had to gently lift her up… and even then, her legs were trembling, struggling to hold her weight. This is what years of suffering does. Yesterday, she was too scared to even take a piece of fruit. She didn’t understand kindness… only fear. But today, something changed. She is calmer, more trusting, standing among the other donkeys, slowly accepting that she is finally safe. We cleaned her wounds again, changed her bandages, and are feeding her small meals again and again to help her fragile body recover. But the truth is — animals like Willow need intensive, continuous care, and that comes with a heavy cost. Last night, after sharing her story, we received support… and it gave us hope. But we still need help to continue her treatment and to keep saving others like her. Please don’t scroll past Willow. She has already suffered enough. Even £5 can help her stand stronger tomorrow. Even a share can bring more help her way. 💳 PayPal: paypal.me/TAWFUK ❤️ Construction GoFundMe: gofundme.com/f/tawf-sanctua… 🔗 Linktree: linktr.ee/tahiraanimalwe… Please share her story — because animals like Willow are still out there, waiting for someone to care. 🫏💔

Today another exhausted soul arrived at our sanctuary. This elderly donkey came to us skin and bones, her fragile body showing the cost of a lifetime of hard labour. Every bone is visible. Her body is weak, her coat neglected, and her strength almost gone. Her nose carries deep rope scars — painful marks left by years of being controlled with tight ropes. On her cheek she has a large swollen lump that is extremely painful to touch, likely caused by infection or long-term pressure from harness equipment. We have named her Willow. Despite everything she has endured, she stood quietly while our team gently cleaned her wounds and started her first treatment. She was exhausted… but finally safe. Donkeys like Willow arrive so weak that they cannot simply be fed twice a day. To help their bodies recover, we must give them fresh food every few hours, along with pain medication, antibiotics, wound care and constant monitoring. This lifesaving care is expensive — but it is the only chance animals like Willow have. Pain medication for Willow – £15 Antibiotics and wound treatment – £25 Special recovery feed – £20 Even a small donation today can help us start Willow’s treatment and continue rescuing donkeys in this condition. If many people give a little, together we can change her future. tawf.org.uk/donate paypal.me/TAWFUK gofundme.com/f/tawf-sanctua… linktr.ee/tahiraanimalwe… Without your support, donkeys like Willow simply have nowhere else to go. 🫏💔

@fecklessfox1000 First heard this at school in the 70’s now wonderfully I have regularly worked in France for over 20 yrs and have been to Boulevard St Michel, Juan les Pains. Came through JLP en route from Marseille to Nice just this morning and it always makes me internally sing the line

As a teenager, I had a Saturday job at Dolcis. I was only paid like 60p an hour. I’d give some money to mum and then spend the rest on alcohol and clubbing. My feet used to really ache after standing up for 8 hours solid but it didn’t stop me dancing. Follow me for more post menopausal nostalgia!

I’ve just found out that you can still buy postal orders. I used to get one every Christmas from my gran when I was growing up. I thought they’d gone the same way as Green Shield stamps and self-addressed envelopes. They need to bring back the Woolworths gift token now.

It's quite annoying that the minute I stopped commuting regularly to Hampton Court they upgraded the trains to fancy ones with toilets on board. IMAGINE the poshness.
