On day 1 of my high school history class, our professor got up and said You are 15 or 16 years old. 200 years ago people your age were married, planted crops, had children, and built a cabin by winter. You can do your homework. The bar set for you historically is embarrassingly low. You are not dealing with regional famine or plague. You do not have to save your family from marauders or go into battle to destroy your enemies. You have to sit down and learn from someone who cares about you in a safe, air-conditioned room. You have no excuses.

I have this Neighbor that’s very progressive liberal and he has bumper stickers on the back of his car for all the latest things. He has a bumper sticker with Elon Musk doing the alleged Nazi salute, and it says something under it like “stop the fascists”. He drives a Chevy bolt but the other neighbors in the parking lot have the anti-Elon stickers. I think it’s really pathetic, but it does show that people buy cars for environmental reasons. I think it’s good that Elon is backed off from campaigning outright for politics.

I honestly find it hilarious here in Germany how many people have stickers like this on their Teslas "I bought this before Elon went crazy" Elon was always crazy, that is why you are driving his car in Germany, even though everyone told him it would not work, and he never gave up. I saw someone who had "F Elon" on his new Model Y. So you hate Elon so much, but you know his cars are the best cars to buy in Germany? That to me is crazy. So if everyone is crazy, and these people all call Elon crazy... Maybe it is not Elon that is the problem or the crazy one? Germans are not thankful enough for Elon 💔

BREAKING - Furious Minnesota residents are now demanding the impeachment and removal of Democrat-elected Judge Juan Hoyos after he allowed one of the Somalians who stole $11 million in taxpayer funds to keep his passport while posting bond, which he then used to flee the country.

South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. They should be shown no respect whatsoever anywhere in the world and shunned for being unashamedly RACISTS!
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

The thing nobody is talking about is that we finally have positive confirmation from the mullahs themselves that they intend to acquire nuclear weapons. The USA can never allow a group of 8th Century savages who want nukes so they can precipitate Armageddon, thereby causing the Twelfth Imam to arise from a well in Qom, to EVER obtain those nukes. If the Democrats and European "elites" were not so blinded by hatred for Trump they would understand that this is a humanity-saving mission.
The White House@WhiteHouse

Vice President JD Vance gives an update in Pakistan: "The simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon."

The $40 Million Decision Shaq Walked Away From. In the 1990s, Shaquille O’Neal had a major endorsement deal with Reebok. His signature shoes sold for well over $100 a pair. One day after a game, a woman approached him outside the arena and told him his shoes were too expensive for kids in struggling families. That single comment changed everything. Shaq walked away from a reported $40 million contract extension with Reebok. Instead, he partnered with Walmart to create an affordable sneaker line simply called “Shaq.” To make sure the shoes still looked and felt premium, he brought in former Reebok designers to help engineer the collection. Priced around $20, the “Shaq” sneakers became a massive success. To date, more than 400 million pairs have been sold worldwide. Shaq could have kept cashing huge checks for luxury sneakers. Instead, he chose to make sure every kid who looked up to him could actually afford a pair.

Your Holiness, let me put this as politely as I can: you don’t know what you are talking about. If you want to write on a subject—horse racing, say, or musical composition—it’s a good idea to know something about it before putting pen to paper or, these days, hitting the computer keyboard. The same goes for economics. You don’t have to know anything about economics, but if you don’t, you shouldn’t pontificate on the subject. What you have written gives evidence of a soft heart, which is a good thing, but soft hearts, if they are not to be destructive, should be closely associated with hard heads. Your post is an embarrassment to those of us who are Catholic and who respect and venerate the office you hold. You wrote: "Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty." Yes, and that’s not good. However, almost all of the human race was immersed in extreme poverty for most of human history. The last two hundred years have seen the mass of people lifted out of poverty in a way that has never been achievable or achieved before. [see Hans Rosling’s Factfulness for some real information: [amazon.co.uk/Factfulness-It…] You wrote: "Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few." If wealthy people have obtained their wealth by honest means, issues of proportionality are irrelevant. They have provided goods or services that people are willing to pay for and they have been rewarded accordingly. What they do with that wealth is a moral issue for them and not a legal or political matter for anyone else. You wrote: “...the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.” [italics added] This is a classic example of the zero-sum fallacy. The solution to poverty is to make poor people un-poor, not to make wealthy people un-wealthy. [see stephankinsella.com/2023/06/casey-…] What you call 'equitable distribution' presumes that wealth is something that just sits there, waiting to be distributed. But wealth is something that is produced, and its production already determines its ‘distribution’. Your Holiness, there is much work to be done to sort out the problems in the Church. May I respectfully suggest that you direct your attention to the resolution of these problems.
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.
