Today, the Supreme Court decided that Congress, despite giving the president the ability to "regulate imports", didn't actually mean it. This is lawlessness from the Court, plain and simple. And its only effect will be to make it harder for the president to protect American industries and supply chain resiliency. President Trump has a wide range of other tariff powers and he will use them to defend American workers and advance this administration’s trade priorities.

Downing Street has just put out the following statement. It is pretty odd, because it is stuff the PM and his team have said before. I can only assume the Met has asked the PM not to publish the due diligence and vetting documents that allegedly prove Mandelson misled the PM and this is the best they can do. The question remains why the PM would trust Mandelson rather than the independent evidence that Mandelson remained in contact with Epstein after his conviction for soliciting prostitution from a child. A Downing Street source said: “Before Peter Mandelson was appointed, there had been reports that linked him with Jeffrey Epstein, including after he was first convicted. This was looked into as part of the appointment process, as the Prime Minister referenced today. “Peter Mandelson lied to the Prime Minister, hid information that has since come to light and presented Epstein as someone he barely knew. “In September, new information revealed the depth and extent of the relationship was materially different to what was known at the time of his appointment and that he had utterly misled the Prime Minister. He was swiftly sacked.”
