@ShadowEliteHD While I really do like the game, I do think that they tried to do a bit much. It isnt really an open world game, yet they tried to be. I think if they actually trimmed down a bit, it could have been a better experience. All and all great emotional journey though.

It's interesting because it seems like Rebirth was in a damned if they did, damned if they don't situation. I'm playing it now and while I can understand the criticism around bloat in the open world, they had to do something with it or people would complain it's an empty world. Mini games are a little much but they don't require you to get the good time or rank. Tifa has a piano mini game sidequest and I suck at timing and rhythm games, you can get a bad score and still complete the quest. He also complains in responses that doing the side quests give extra exp and skill points to fight bosses... Bro doing side quests in almost any RPG can almost be looked at as lowering the difficulty or modifying it. They SHOULD be giving you extra exp, items, and equipment to either make the next fights easier or give you more options for party customization.

The new James Bond game releases in a week. The cinematics director spent the release press cycle calling classic Bond "tone deaf" and saying certain things "fall by the wayside" to reflect "modern values." Amazon owns this game. Amazon owns Bond 26. The official Bond novels portray Christian conservatives as coup plotters. Ian Fleming built Bond as a specific kind of man as a cold, sexually confident, outside normal moral frameworks. That was the point. You don't have to like it. But calling it "tone deaf" and removing it isn't evolution. It's replacement. Sixty years of Bond. This is what the finish line looks like. Is there anything left of the character worth saving at this point?

Warhorse Studios confirmed today it is developing an open world Middle-earth RPG alongside a new Kingdom Come adventure. No platforms, release dates, or gameplay details announced. The studio behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is owned by Embracer Group, which simultaneously announced the formation of Fellowship Entertainment, a new IP company with Middle-earth licensing "at the heart" of its business. Warhorse's last game introduced DEI-consulted content that got it banned in Saudi Arabia and drew sustained community backlash. The Amazon LOTR MMO was canceled this week. A grounded open world RPG from Warhorse could be exactly what Middle-earth gaming needs. The question is which version of Warhorse shows up to make it. Are you cautiously optimistic or already concerned?
