@jan_murray Your hypocrisy is staggering. So kids can see loving opposite sex couples and parents every day, yet knowing that same sex couples and parents exist is somehow “too adult”? Should those families stay out of public view because you do not see them as normal? That is your logic.

My mum told me the fellas who lived together down the street were flatmates - maybe even brothers - until I was old enough to understand same-sex relationships. An unorthodox heterosexual relationship in the family was described as a ‘friendship’ too. In other words, she let me be a child. Until I was mature enough to grasp adult concepts. Now? Kids who still believe in Father Christmas are being taught about same-sex attraction and ‘queerness’ in school, extra-curricular clubs - and by influencers. And the strangest part is how few people seem to think that’s odd.

LGBTQ Domestic Violence Awareness Day Commonly LGBTQ+ victim of domestic abuse do not recognise they are victims, fear seeking help or experience stigma when they access services. #SeenAndBelieved Because everyone deserves the right to live a life free from violence and abuse.
