For those like me heading into work for a day of MSK triage, remember this. Most of what you will see is non specific, variable, and hard to slap a diagnostic label on. Your scan results will often be equivocal and you will not be able to provide certainty to your patients based purely on a pathoanatomical model. And you know what? That is ok. It is real life, real people, real complexity. Not everything is knowable and your patients are not from a textbook. If it does not fit, do not try to make it fit. Be honest, communicate, and manage expectations. Do not feel you must always meet or exceed them. You are human too and we do not have this stuff figured out. Not by a long shot. Have a great day. @jake_tuura I think the morning is a liar. I don't trust what I feel the first hour after getting up. I think this holds for anybody over 35. Kind of like not trusting the first 10 minutes of a run or any workout

When should you listen to tendon pain? QUESTION: I finish playing volleyball at 10:30 pm, is the next morning pain at 9 am a good marker or should I wait the actual ~24 hours and consider that pain as real feedback? ANSWER: Morning pain always. Idk why they say 24 hour, it's dumb. Sometimes, if you play very late, pain response will take an extra morning to set in.
