How am I intellectually dishonest? You cited scripture that you claim close the canon, but none of them were written within 100s of yrs of the “Bible/canon” even being a concept. Each of these statements is essentially an ancient copyright for their own book (eg Revelation is written for only Revelation).

LDS teaches a different God, a different Christ, and a different salvation. A base study of its beliefs show this. You don’t even have to go to the creeds, which the LDS detest, to show this.

You cannot compare the two. Joseph Smith dictated the text into English off of the gold plates by the gift and power of God without notes and without having any of the manuscript read back to him after breaks such as meals or sleeping. He averaged a translation rate of 10 pages per day, whereas the translators of the king James Bible average about one page per day. Also, we’re Joseph a fraud, the Book of Mormon would not be viewed by more and more people as a Christ centered, religious text (speaking of the religious) and would not fascinate more and more academics as an actual work of American nonfiction.
