This *AND* it's extremely difficult to *be* a diamond in the rough. I rarely stream big games and it's hard to grow above 140CCV. And the biggest variety streamers I know get 1k, not 50k CCV. Now, it could just be I'm not a great content creator, never claimed to be. I just aim to have fun. But with discoverability nearly 0 on Twitch, *being* a different kinda creator, not running with the fake friend groups isn't easy either.

Outside of the Marathon vs Arc convo. I think this is a perfect reflection of the way streaming (especially from larger creators) is no longer about taste making and way more about trend following which is why I’m losing interest in the space as a viewer. It used to be super fun to find diamonds in the rough, but it just continues to be the same folks playing the same games with the same group of people. It’s kinda boring.

AMPAS/Oscar CEO Bill Kramer apparently blocked me on Instagram last night after seeing my post expressing disappointment about the broadcast’s In Memoriam omission of my father.

I've been playing @Thorin_Dev's Blossom the Seed of Life. I know I'm hurting myself by not streaming the big games, but gosh I love variety streaming because you find gems like this.
