@LionOfTruth182@LeadingReport I feel healthier leaving work and being able to enjoy the outdoors while it’s sunny out. I’m more active and in a better mood
@user0945367@LeadingReport Hey Bob. Serious question. Have you taken 30 seconds and looked up which is HEALTHIER for the human body?
Do you care about health of your family, friends, neighbors? If health is even a basic concern of yours, Standard time is without a doubt the best option. Health is critical
@user0945367@LeadingReport That's winter.
You are in for an exceptionally sad surprise with permanent #DaylightSavingTime during winter.
For several weeks, the sun will not rise until 9am, and it will still be dark around 530p.
Forcing DST on the country isn't going to change winter's darkness.
@user0945367 Bobson Dugnutt… do you know my buddies Sleve McDichael or Rey McSriff by any chance? 😂 I would def pay for an upgraded shaft if it made a big impact on my game but I’m with you on putting that money elsewhere. Good call.
Just got fitted this morning and they recommended the Ventus. Could actually get it for $200 which isn’t a bad deal for $150 off. Still probably sticking with a stock shaft since I can use the extra money towards a new SW. But I guess these upgraded shafts can make a big difference.
@b9bozzi I’m going to look at a set of 150s tomorrow. I’m not sold on the brushed finish so I need to see them in person first. Could just be I’m used to the polished chrome on my 2023’s.
I’d say 550-700 is fair for a top of the line driver. A new iron runs you 180-220. The 350 shaft is on you though. Sure, there’s cheaper alternatives out there, but if you can afford it, why not? It’s golf. It’s never been a cheap sport to play. The only place I really see the bubble effect is in used clubs. What was once a more affordable option has almost become as expensive as a brand new set now.
I know golf is in a bubble and bubbles always pop. I also know once companies know consumers will pay certain prices for goods, they’re never going to lower prices - even when the bubble pops.
Yes, this has a $350 shaft, but the head itself is still $700. Not calling out Titleist here. This is industry standard.
I just don’t see how this is sustainable. Normal people everywhere can hardly buy groceries right now. Debt is rising like crazy.
Yes, golf lends itself to higher earners by nature. It’s an expensive game.
But we’re at a point now where $700 is an off the rack price for a new driver. Want to get fitted? You’re looking at close to $1000 or more.
These are now the floor. It’ll only get worse from here.
At what point do golfers push back? And what if they do? I’m not a financial genius by any means. Where’s the breaking point where cost drives down demand?
And who loses? Us? OEMs? Courses? Everybody?
@user0945367@SeedOilDsrspctr unironically that's what my non-watch-dude coworker has. he wears it occasionally, for sentimental reasons because it was a gift from his father. most days out of the year he goes rawdog.
@CuriosityonX And the irony is that Octopus civilisation would probably be more ethical than ours.
