@victor_bigfield I’m building a tool that allows you to modify your experience on distracting platforms, like YouTube and X. Remove the bad parts, understand your consumption habits and set limits. algoasis.com Read the manifesto on the website to learn more.

@AnnaLeptikon So many. There’s nothing more eye and mind opening than jumping into a new field of thought.

The House of Complexity brand needed to work across wildly different contexts, from strategic frameworks to messy organizational realities. The house motif is the constant. The wordmark has an open door (because you have to step into complexity, not around it). Everything else adapts. Crystalline when we're mapping systems. Organic when things are emergent and unpredictable. Geometric for structure. Atmospheric when we need space to think. Sometimes precise, sometimes painterly. Depends what the work needs. A brand that moves. houseofcomplexity.com

@philosopher70 How does one sign up? I’m based in Sydney, so timings won’t work for the live session but I assume I can just watch the recordings?

Why are philosophers of early 1900s just awesomely concise at writing philosophy? I can just sit and read James for hours. I love his prose.

@AlexAndBooks_ Why wait for philosophy until your 60s? It gives meaning to everything else. Life’s too rich for a single language… read widely, and let the fields speak to each other.

@algekalipso What if the world isn’t behind the interface, but made through it? What if the blanket we perceive through is always shifting, and there isn’t one world at all… only many, unfolding in motion?

People don't react to the world. For the most part, they react to the Markov Blanket that separates them from the world. Namely, their filter and interface to the world rather than the world itself.

@LetovCCRU I used to approach reading this way. I encourage you to experiment with multiple books on the go. Lots of insight that cut across and helps you get through dry but necessary material.

@e_angel999 @AdmechIssac Also look into strategic design, design research, etc. You will work on far more interesting problems than you would in advertising.
