@Jas_Athwal The level of driving instructors in Ilford is poor not all but a lot. You must see that when you’re driving around. The better the instructor the better the young driver. Sadly young drivers will always face higher insurance because of lack of experience.

As well as the backlog to secure driving tests, another issue facing young drivers is soaring car insurance costs. One constituent told me they were quoted over £3,000 for car insurance. This is not an isolated case, a recent report showed that premiums for 17–20‑year‑olds have risen by more than £1,000 in the past year alone! We need to do more to support young and budding drivers on our roads.

@SteveBurke2000 @MPSRedbridge Like I asked before which road in the two wards do you live in because you would know the issue with our main road and the history behind it. Cyclists use it every day. It’s only ever been about cyclists on pavements hence why @MPSRedbridge got involved following complaints.

@stevep1920 @MPSRedbridge Cyclists can't use the road if it is unsafe. Make a safe space for cyclists and the problem goes away and anyone who cycles on the pavement deserves a fine. The infrastructure has to be there first.

@SteveBurke2000 @MPSRedbridge Getting boring now we’re not talking about roads we’re talking pavements. You get clipped by a cyclist on the pavement it can hurt as I know. Cyclists should be in the road don’t have a problem with that.

@MPSRedbridge The police hate cyclists. Forcing cyclists into the street puts them at risk of being hit by a 2 ton mobile living room. How about installing multi-modal protected lanes before demanding cyclists put their lives at risk.

@georgebernhard @MPSRedbridge No room for cycle lanes as main roads too narrow. Detour of high road a minute longer on a no car road but they still cycle through the town centre but living in the two wards you’d know that. Well done @MPSRedbridge

@MPSRedbridge Please quantify the risk: How many KSIs have been caused by these "risky" cylists in the last 2 years? What percentage of KSIs in Ilford does that make up? How much longer would a detour around proper, protected cycle lanes be? Do you even have proper, protected cycle lanes?

@CitizenUddin @MPSRedbridge Sadly in Ilford it makes no difference whether they’re food deliveries or normal cyclists they all cycle on pavements and go through red lights. Glad the police have done something about it. If you lived in the wards you’d know

@MPSRedbridge I noticed the "cyclists" you caught, are food delivery riders. And I suspect the moped riders you caught are likewise. It would be helpful if you highlighted that, so law abiding cyclists, don't get tarred with the same brush.
