A few random but very disgruntled thoughts: 1. Reversing the suspension of people who publicly and gleefully sabotaged the @OfficialPDPNig is stupid and sets a dangerous precedent. 2. But our Constitution says the Party is supreme so we’ll grudgingly welcome back our brother saboteurs. But lessons are being learned. 3. Speaking of the Constitution, we need to start looking for a new Chairman. Ayu’s position has been made untenable by the cowardly reversal of the decision to discipline erring members. He cannot return. This should be made clear to him. We thank him for his short service. 4. So what’s next? The Constitution says Ayu should hand over to his Deputy North Damagum, which he has done. It then says NEC needs to appoint a substantive Chairman from the former Chairman’s zone (North Central) to serve out the rest of his tenure. That needs to happen ASAP. And I honestly believe this appointment will determine the future of the PDP. Shortlist of Four? Feel free to suggest your NC nominee if none of the names below float your cockle.
