Weathersfield Way. The 911 caller reported concern for the victim, Katherine D. Torbick, after not hearing from her throughout the day. Officers were aware of a recent domestic violence incident at this location involving Torbick and Kevin D. Motykie. He had a pending arrest warrant for aggravated domestic battery to Torbick. Officers forced entry into the residence and discovered the victim, Torbick, who was deceased. There were multiple signs of trauma located throughout her body. The suspect, Motykie, was found in the garage of the residence. He was immediately taken into custody. During the investigation, detectives determined the victim and suspect were residing at the home. The victim, Torbick, and suspect, Motykie had a dating relationship. Detectives conducted a thorough investigation of the case. After reviewing all the facts of the investigation, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved a felony charge against Motykie. He will be processed at the Schaumburg Police Department for the previous warrant for Domestic Battery and for 1st Degree Murder. It's been 7 months since we had our baby and we're still receiving unexplained hospital bills in the mail. Hardly ever an adequate description of services. Just a QR code to pay online. It feels intentionally confusing and difficult to get answers. We want price transparency.
