The No Kings protests are in no way a grassroots movement. That much is obvious. But to draw the conclusion that if you want a constitutional republic in the United States, then you must abolish monarchies in Europe or elsewhere in the world as well, is a completely banal conclusion. The No Kings demonstrations could have had more to do with it if it was a message about what you want, other than just being against Trump's autocracy. But with Trump trampling over everything and everyone at the moment, the demonstrations are more timely than they seemed at first.
