The point of the 1979 revolution was at its core anti-U.S. and anti-Western influence, because of the US meddling in Iranian affairs in 1953 - Iranians were sick of it. The people are who elected this current government. The current Iranian government is not supported by Israel, a rogue pariah state, hence why Iran is labeled a problem, yet has never bothered or waged war on any other international community- unlike Israel.
