World Book Day 2025

Today we have been learning about staying safe online and being able to recognise a scam. We took part in a live online assembly, and a live lesson with @adobe creating posters and films to inform others so they can avoid scams too. #esgol @Technocamps @StMarysCIWBJ @StMarysCIW

Subtracting work this week using a numberline and counting backwards. We also working on counting in 10’s and 5’s forwards and backwards. We have been ordering tricky teens filling in a number track. @EAS_Numeracy

National Storytelling Week 📚 We practiced our comprehension skills by retelling our chosen book with sensory bins & puppets. Then, we went on a BEAR HUNT! Through this hands on adventure, the children not only understood the story - they lived it! 🧸✨ @StMarysCIW @mullin_mrs

Rydw i mor falcon ohonoch chi (I’m so proud of you). Da iawn chi to the year 6 pupils who represented our school to sing the Blaenau Gwent song this year to celebrate Welsh Language Music Day next week. They won prizes and impressed others that they thought they were fluent Welsh
