As a kid, the only Black girls I remember from novels are Jessi from The Babysitters Club and Cassie from Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. Now, it warms my heart to see Big, Bold, Black girls as main characters with diverse, developed storylines. Thank you @katybusby19! @TuscMagnet
