As I fly out of another trip to Canada, this time Toronto, I just feel compelled to say how shocking it is that so many people have to recognize that Canada is likely already beyond repair on so many issues. They see the train running towards a cliff, and there are no brakes.

Carney says that the high cost of fuel at the gas station is due to $100 barrels of oil… Yet, when oil cost $100 a barrel in 2014, gas only cost $1.38, not $1.99 like we are paying in Fort St. John. Will the Carney get rid of all gas taxes for the rest of the year to make life more affordable for you?

@sarobertsonca He’s baiting Carney. Wants his base to think Carney is over educated and out of touch with the common man. If Carney was smart he would start complimenting Pierre on his long career in politics every chance he gets. The argument then switches to policy and not personal.

@PierrePoilievre In 2014 when the conservatives were in power gas prices were $1.28/L vs 95 cents/L in the US. Currently CDN gas prices are $1.83/L vs $1.50/L in the US. All prices in CDN dollar. It was actually worse in 2014 under Harper, than it is now under Mark Carney.

Gas costs more in Canada than in the US, even when adjusted for the dollar. Why? High Liberal fuel taxes. Conservatives are fighting to slash gas taxes so Canadians can get a break at the pumps.

We’re in for a “hate 3 on 3 OT” marathon, but what about the memory of Mitch Marner’s GWG against Czechia? That wasn’t a gold medal game. But it was a game that could have denied Canada a medal of any sort. So just score and win. Solves everything.
