1. 👏Ottawa Board of Trustees for requiring masking in schools. Schools are places for student learning & development. They are also WORKPLACES for teachers, educational assistants, administrators, & other staff. Legal reasons why masking should be mandatory for employees🧵

Tonight, the Board of Trustees passed a motion requiring mask use in all OCDSB buildings. Staff are developing an implementation plan and will provide additional clarification shortly.

Another year of education funding shortfalls will inevitably hurt all students and teachers across the province, including those in Saskatoon and surrounding areas.

We are disappointed that @SKGov has yet again decided not to make education a priority. Rising costs and enrolment mean that SK schools will be receiving a more than 3% cut to their budgets, forcing school divisions to cut programs and services that were already underfunded. 1/
