At the book launch for David Penner Architect. He was a friend and someone whose work I deeply admired. He is dearly missed by Winnipeg’s architecture community, but his creative spirit lives on in his many beautiful buildings across our city.

As September gets closer, the anticipation for the Winnipeg Design Festival is only growing! Today From the Archives; Forts on Fort - a family friendly event run as a part of the 2016 Design Festival.

September is approaching, which means it’s almost time for Winnipeg Design Fest! This week’s From The Archives feature is Joinery, an event run as a part of the 2012 festival, known as the "largest collaborative sculpture in Winnipeg." #winnipegdesignfestival

This fall, Storefront is launching a pilot for a series called Design Matters. Our pilot episode will feature the Oodena Celebration Circle at The Forks, designed by HTFC Planning and Design. Stay tuned!

This week “From the Archives” is featuring Chair Your Idea, a competition run by 546 Architecture which culminated in a Downtown block party as a part of the Winnipeg Design Festival in 2015.
