The first step (BETTER VENTING): The Trump EPA clarified to manufacturers last summer that gas cans can have self-closing vents that restore smoother fuel flow. The next, bigger step (NOZZLE DESIGN): To have the Consumer Product Safety Commission fix the ABSURDLY designed nozzle, Congress will need to pass legislation to change federal law. It shouldn’t take 3 hands and 5 minutes to pour gas out of a gas can!

You’re converting your car’s lifespan, your gas, your insurance risk, and your time into short term cash flow that looks like income but erodes your net worth underneath. Once you actually factor in depreciation, maintenance, and dead time between orders, the margins collapse. For a lot of drivers, it’s not even low pay, it’s break even pay disguised as flexibility, one accident away from loosing transport and money. And the uncomfortable part is this: people were warned. For years, critics pointed out that the gig economy model depends on workers ignoring true costs and overvaluing “be your own boss” marketing pushed by anyone on social media, particularly by storms chasers, to other storm chasers, every fucking time you shared screenshots of your big payouts like you’re on a gambling app. And criticism got brushed off because the cash was immediate. If you need a temporary bridge, cool i guess but treating it like a viable long term income strategy was, and still is noy in your best interest
