There was no HIV infection reported in humans before 1959. There are two types of HIV viruses - HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 originated from gorillas and chimpanzees, and HIV-2 originated from a monkey species. How do you think these viruses jumped to humans?

The physically battered body of Bantu Stephen Biko lay in a mortuary near East London in South Africa 🇿🇦 at the time of his post-mortem, 700 miles from the place of his incarceration by the apartheid white security police, shortly after his death on 7 September 1977. As the South African government continued to propagate lies that Steve Biko had died while on hunger strike, an undercover journalist secretly took the photo of Biko's body and sent it to Britain. The photo bearing Biko's battered face confirmed to the world that the anti-apartheid student activist had been beaten to death while in prison. It later emerged that while in police custody, Biko was stripped naked, shackled to the wall, and severely beaten on the head by his interrogators. As a result, he suffered three brain lesions that resulted in a massive brain haemorrhage. According to an autopsy, an "extensive brain injury" had caused "centralisation of the blood circulation to such an extent that there had been intravasal blood coagulation, acute kidney failure, and uremia".

Mali appears to have been left with the short end of the stick. The Wagner Group, now Africa Corps not only got millions of dollars every month, they secured and operated several gold mining sites in Mali as part of a military for resources arrangement with the junta to pay for services. Most notably, the Intahaka gold mine in northern Mali which the group took control of in 2024. Russia offered the junta a "regime survival package" in exchange for access to strategically natural resources. At one point, this might have seemed like a good deal. But as events continue to unfold in Mali, it’s starting to look like a one sided deal. The Russians walked away with a ton of money, while Mali appears to have been left with the short end of the stick.

From a wife. My husband married me as a virgin. It was after our wedding i found out how much he loves sex. At first, it was enjoyable. But after I gave birth to our child, I totally lost interest in sex. a month after childbirth, I got pregnant again. I had to abort it. After that, I took IUCD family planning. There were side effects. I wanted to endure it, hoping the complications would stop. But it did not. I bled every day for 3months until my mum forced me to remove it. All through these, he was still having sex with me. I decided not to have sex with him again until I'm totally fine. Then I found out he's having an affair, and he placed the girl on a weekly allowance. I told my mil, but she said it was my fault that he had an affair and that I'm not the first to marry as a virgin. She married as a virgin, too, and she never for once deprived my fil of sex because it is our duty, regardless of how our body feels. She even quoted a bible verse for it. I moved out with my baby and went back to my mum's house. But my mum pleaded that she doesn't want my life to end up like hers and I should go back to my husband's house.

A virgin woman should never marry a non virgin man. Keep your dignity for a man who also has dignity.

If Mali has fallen to the rebels, it means terrorists have now secured a beachhead from which they, and other allied terrorist groups, will attempt to destabilize the region. This is a clear and present danger to Northern Nigeria (~ 15–20 hours driving). ECOWAS should send in troops immediately

In comparing the burial arrangements provided by Obi Cubana and Baby Oku for their parents, which one stands out as more impressive and dependable; does Obi Cubana's use of 700 cows and other resources pale in comparison to Baby Oku's extravagant display involving 501,000 cows, gold casket and chartered helicopter for his father's security personnel? A significant portion of ransom money from Boko Haram kidnappings is funneled via cryptocurrency to the Middle East particularly Iran, the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia for real estate investments. Some funds are also routed to Pakistan and Iran to acquire high-powered weapons, which are then smuggled through the Chad border, allegedly with the awareness of Nigerian authorities.

I just heard about a man who relocated to the US with his family 30 years ago and raised his 4 sons there. They all refused to visit Nigeria even after marriage and having children. He eventually “transferred his position” as the first son to his immediate younger brother and even said he’d be buried there if possible. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before?

I was down bad. Typhoid and malaria hit me same week. Went to a private hospital — doctor said drugs, drip, and lab tests would cost 27k. My dad sent me 30k that morning. Voice note came with it: “Treat yourself, no stories. That same afternoon, my woman called me crying. Her landlord was sealing her shop that evening if she didn’t drop 25k for rent. She sold thrift clothes online and that small shop was her only base. She said she’d lose everything if he threw her load outside. I stared at the alert. Stared at my body shaking from fever. Stared at the paracetamol I’d been popping. I sent her 27k. Told myself I’m strong, I can hold small fever. Her shop was life or death for her. She screamed “you saved me” on the phone. Posted my picture with “my king” that night.

My visit to China changed my perspective. Conversation with Chinese manufacturers revealed that many Nigerian buyers go for the cheapest possible products and even request lower quality to match price. You simply get what you pay for. BTW... China is living in 2050😂 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️
