Hundreds of students at The Watertown High School in Wisconsin walked out of school after the conservative school board, banned a song with no lyrics whatsoever from being played by the school band. The school board claimed that this song “indoctrinated students and endorsed violence”. It was “A Mother of a Revolution,” and it had NO LYRICS AT ALL.

A $1 billion for a Ballroom, $10 billion for vanity projects in DC, $15 million for an arch in front of Arlington Cemetery veterans oppose. Meanwhile—they are proposing to cut over $1 billion in tribal programs, eviscerating tribal housing, education, water and other basic programs, while opening sacred sites like Chaco Canyon. Celebrating the memory of the great Bobby Darin on the anniversary of his birth. I loved and adored Bobby. He was one of my dearest friends, and I have so many warm memories of him. His life was brief, but brilliant, burning hot like the brightest star, and then he was gone. He left and indelible mark and created an enduring legacy through his voice, versatility, and artistry. One of my favorites has always been his album Bobby Darin Sings Doctor Dolittle. It’s a truly beautiful recording, and, in my opinion, one of his very best. Happy birthday in heaven, old friend. It’s hard to believe you have been gone so long. I miss you very much, and I think of you often.

Jason Collins was far more than a trailblazer for the NBA. He was a role model to everyone who watched him and a gift to all of us fortunate enough to know him—and a great friend to Chelsea. A big man with an even bigger heart, Jason will be deeply missed. Hillary and I send our condolences to his husband, Brunson, his brother, Jarron, and the entire Collins family.
