@John_R_Bruce @theGRDC @FAR_Arable @RiverinePlains The site is quite variable as we have early sown and main season wheats and barley. On average most damage was done to crops at or after GS33. Not so much stem frost but partial to full death of head inside the stem/boot. At least 75% of stems effected.

Talk about the frost damage today with @theGRDC southern panel & @FAR_Arable at the Riverine Research Centre, @straight_mp mentioned the in canopy temp monitors there averaged -10 yes -10 on the 29th of August 😲 @RiverinePlains

@ludeydookie @John_R_Bruce @theGRDC @FAR_Arable @RiverinePlains The closest is at Yarrawonga Airport (around 10km) recorded -5.2deg. Our own weather station on site said -4.5deg.
