Two things to share first: OpenSV2 Miner Native encrypted Stratum V2 firmware for BM1370-based Bitcoin miners like Hashdisk, Bitaxe, and other open-source mining hardware. Encrypted firmware-to-pool mining. Arduino IDE builds. Solo mode. Faction mode, Open Source Bitcoin mining firmware github.com/BeeEvolved/Ope… alongside it: A native encrypted Stratum V2 solo cat built for OpenSV2 Miner. Native Encrypted communication from firmware to pool, with support for solo and faction mining using non-custodial coinbase payouts. Mine solo, or faction up with your best pals, take down a Bitcoin block together, and split the full block reward equally, including all transaction fees. sv2.solo.cat 0% pool fees. Open Source, Enjoy.

This week’s update by @TumaBitcoiner features the official merge in the BOLTs repository of the specifications for creating simple taproot channels by @roasbeef, providing improved privacy, security, and flexibility of the Lightning Network. We also cover the first stable release of Coco by @CashuBTC developer @Egge21M, an easy-to-use, modular, TypeScript-first toolkit for building Cashu wallets and applications, and the different releases of @StratumV2 for the core protocol, applications, and mining dashboard. We finally propose some more interesting news. Notably, we discuss the biggest player in the mining industry joining the Stratum V2 Working Group, and a new challenge by @alloc_init_ to break their new witness encryption scheme.

Miners providing hashrate while pools control the block template is a centralization problem. SV2 fixes it. Miners construct their own blocks, pick their own transactions.
