During production The Neverending Story was actually called Story As a Service but they felt it was a bit too on the nose when development paused briefly after the Artax service went down.

I feel that Arc Raiders shouldn't flag it as an aggressive act if you kill a player who is loud, since you are only defending yourself.

@AnchorMCS The community has always provided solutions to iterate visuals as people pleased, without charging for it. The map sources have been available since 2006, we can compile maps with AO, bouncing, and phong. And we can do so while checking if it looks correct before uploading.

@strawmandesign To be fair, they did remaster the 3D models and the lighting was updated to fit modern Quake mapping standards. That's about all they and that's very much enough.

Cliff gave me my first (real) contract job back in 2001 at Epic Games. He would literally mail me a CD with the Unreal Warfare build/tools. I CD-ROM installed it and made levels for their latest (very early phase, never-released) game. He told me "Dude, we expect only the best, so please understand if we ever cancel the contract." (totally fair) But when I submitted my first level, he said "This is great! I'm glad we sent you the build!" 😅<-- My face I was so proud, I photo-scanned the check they sent me ($5k!!) but I ended up leaving the Epic contract for another full-time gamedev job (bad move, Epic gig was a dream job). Anyway, Cliff was a character back then (we all were), but I owe him a lot for believing in me. So yea, I don't know what he was thinking either 😁 Thank you CliffyB! ❤️🫡

@D16_Makaveli @Matty_OW His opponent jumped his first shot (which looked like it should've hit, but, yeah), got his second shot, expected a kill from it because shotgun at that range and thus didn't expect the movement and simply failed to reacquire, maintaining a constant gap behind.
