Starmer has shut down the far-right this morning. He has answered all of their ludicrous conspiracy theories and set out, clearly and comprehensively, the actions that will occur. An excellent leader’s speech.

No. Mostly they pay PAYE on high salaries. Bankers, lawyers, tech workers, high paid media people etc. All PAYE. Plus VAT, CGT, stamp duty.. taxes on flights, insurance and so on and so on. The contribution of the rich/high income in the UK is huge. Enough of this nonsense.

It angers people so much that the hope of Diana being “reincarnated” in one of Harry or William’s kids fell on the Prince who married a mixed race American woman and not the heir married to an English rose. That William’s kids (not that it’s a bad thing) look more like him and Kate whereas Harry’s kids look more like Meghan and Diana (as per harry) That’s where I think the outrage is really coming from. Not only does Lili resemble Diana, but that it’s not William’s kids to carry on that resemblance.

Things I think about. Whatever happened to Ray Mears? I remember him literally being on tv every week. He’d pop up in Siberia & make a 3 bedroom house from two bits of wood, a dock leaf and a handful of dried nettles. And he could make a fire by simply clicking his fingers.

Developers build affordable housing but housing associations can't afford to take them on. Council flats are empty for the same reason.

It doesn't matter who's in power, why have right to buy when we have a social housing crisis, with almost 1.3m households, most with children, waiting for a social home in England A waiting list that will cost £205bn to clear!!! @AngelaRayner @PippaCrerar @BigIssue

@Philsbodydouble @peterjukes It was mentioned at the start when Reeves was pointing the finger at the Tories - 'Their Brexit deal harmed British businesses'. Significant perhaps to hear a criticism rather than the 'we will make Brexit work' mantra.

@peterjukes It is a good budget by the looks of it. But it is a farce Brexit isn't mentioned once in it, given the Brexit black hole is soon going to be similar to the £40bn tax rises in the budget. And look, you have fallen for Labour's tactic of ignoring everything re Brexit already.

Unfashionable and dangerous to venture any favourable opinion of Labour in this place, but I like that budget a lot
