Analyzing this $NIGHT-$USDCx Minswap farm shows negative profitability over a 30 day period since its launch. Contrary to what some self-proclaimed Defi experts may tell you. A lot of people look at the APR and see a relatively high percentage. But this only tells half the story. 30 days ago Night was priced at around 0.051 USDCx, Now its sitting at 0.0315, roughly a 38% loss in 30 days. This translates to -456% APR if it continues over a year At the time the pool launched i noted that the APR was inflated by a miscalculation of 5.3x. So at the time of the quoted tweet the real farm APR was 275% and it was quickly decreasing as more people were adding liquidity and it now sits at 79%. A simple average farm APR for the 30 days can be calculated as 177% or if we calculate the monthly it would be 14.75% So participants took a 38% loss in price to earn 14.75% in farm rewards netting you a -23.25% net loss without calculating for Impermanent Loss which adds a little more to it. I do believe in Midnight longterm and this could be a passive way to accumulate at these low prices while earning some additional rewards for it. But make sure you understand how farms work and don't be fooled by APR values if you are just looking to earn farm rewards without being a long term holder
