@ZiaYusufUK It is beyond insane that foreign nationals can pay £5m bribes to UK politicians. The insanity gets worse under Reform.

I’m told this progress is attributable to: * JD Vance being sidelined (which led to his discussion of dropping presidential bid) * Rubio quietly taking over lead * Rubio switch lead mediator from Pakistan to Qatar due to Pakistan’s “discretion” issues * Rubio being able to convince Iranian delegates that the Congressional restraints on military action outside the 60-day window are serious, and that the US can only engage defensively Unlike the talks in Pakistan, we are hearing *a lot* less public claims of progress, but there is apparently substantially more real progress behind the scenes. Trump’s unpredictability, rhetoric and Netanyahu being a loose cannon are still causing material delays, but it sounds like there is at least a round one deal getting close. (And that senior Republican leadership have quickly jumped ship from Vance to Rubio in a potential ‘28 bid, after he showed how little statecraft is needed to move something stable forward here)

TRUMP JUST PUBLISHED THE EXACT LIST OF COUNTRIES REQUIRED TO JOIN THE ABRAHAM ACCORDS AS THE PRICE OF ANY IRAN PEACE DEAL Not a suggestion. Not a request. MANDATORY. SIMULTANEOUS. NAMED NATIONS. Country by country. 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia → sign Abraham Accords → normalize with Israel → or Iran deal collapses 🇶🇦 Qatar → sign Abraham Accords → the country hosting US Central Command headquarters 🇵🇰 Pakistan → sign Abraham Accords → a nuclear power with 240 million Muslims 🇹🇷 Türkiye → sign Abraham Accords → NATO ally whose president called Israel a "terrorist state" 🇪🇬 Egypt → sign Abraham Accords → 100 million people, spiritual capital of the Arab world 🇯🇴 Jordan → sign Abraham Accords → already has a peace treaty, but this demands public normalization 🇦🇪 UAE → already a Member → required to anchor the new expanded coalition 🇧🇭 Bahrain → already a Member → required to stand alongside every new signatory 🇮🇷 Iran → offered an "Honor" to join → meaning: recognize Israel or stay at war 💀 9 named nations 💀 1 condition: all sign simultaneously or the deal dies 💀 ZERO exceptions — Trump's words: "mandatory" 💀 $11,300,000,000,000 in market cap added since March 30 bottom — that's what peace is worth Every nation on this list has official state policy refusing recognition of Israel. Some for decades. Some since 1948. Trump's post is live. The calls to leaders have already happened. The list is published. These are the signatures required. Right now. I'll keep you updated. President Trump’s most recent proposal requiring expansion of the Abraham Accords as part of a negotiated settlement to the Iran conflict is simply brilliant and would result in the most significant change in the Middle East in thousands of years. With Saudi Arabia and others like Pakistan making peace with Israel, the region will know a level of stability never dreamed of before President Trump and will eventually lead to regional integration making the Middle East a powerhouse for economic opportunity and good instead of a powder keg. I expect our Arab allies to embrace this, as well as our friends in Israel, focusing on this task as failure is not an option - which would be a correct analysis. @realDonaldTrump/116635193825443617" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTru

🚨While U.S. officials are optimistic that a deal will be signed within days, they also acknowledge it has not been finalized and could still fall apart. "We are in a very good place — but there are ways in which the deal can be undermined," a senior U.S. official said

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷The White House doesn't expect an agreement to end the war with Iran Sunday and thinks it could take several days for the deal's approval by Iran's leadership, including Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, a U.S. official said. My report on @axios axios.com/2026/05/24/ira…

As most know, I am a huge Reagan fan.  I campaigned for him in 1976 and 1980.  I served in his administration for 8 years.  But one of the biggest mistakes was amnesty granted to 2.3 million illegal aliens.  And on top of that, amnesty was granted BEFORE the Democrats promised border security was funded.  The Democrats simply refused to honor their part of the bargain.  Reagan would later say it was a mistake. Sequencing matters.  I am opposed to a deal.  I've been saying this for months.  Congratulations to those who've wanted a deal.  Looks like you've won the day.  And, if a deal is made, the Iranian regime will survive, at least for now.  We shall see how that works out over time.  I am quite skeptical any deal can contain the enemy or will be enforced for numerous reasons, especially after President Trump leaves office, or that the terrorists will cease being terrorists.   That said, I have to assume that if there is a deal, the Iranian regime will be required to perform what it promises first -- that is, as a condition precedent to any relief.  I believe it would be a huge mistake if not.  Among other things, if the Iranian regime doesn't intend to follow through, we ought to know upfront not later.  And it should be forced to reveal itself now.  And releasing billions and billions of dollars to them, which was withheld before the war, will be nearly impossible to control once in their hands, and will be used to strengthen the regime.  Of this I have no doubt.  That's who they are.  That's their mindset.  They answer to no one but themselves. And no Middle East country should be pressured to diminish its own national security for the sake of a deal.  Will Hezbollah actually survive and reestablish its dominance over Lebanon, and be free to keep shooting missiles into Israel?  Is that something we would accept?  This needs to be very clear.  "Israel's right to exist" cannot be only a slogan.  So far, I see nothing about the ballistic missiles, which is the most potent conventional weapon the Iranian regime has in its arsenal.  It'll be important to see how that is addresed. I'll be very focused on a whole bunch of issues if a deal is made.  We all should.  It would be very strange if we weren't.  This isn't just some foreign enemy thousands of miles away.  It has killed and maimed thousands of our fellow Americans during the last 47 years.  The President made the strongest case, repeatedly, for why military action was so essential and timely.  It would also be far more fruitful, not to mention intelligent, if our senators and congressmen who want a deal would tell us what and how they think the specific mechanics of a deal should work from their perspective.     More later ...

The no tax on overtime announcement from Reform yesterday is a *starting gun*. The incentives in this country are totally BROKEN and upside down. Break into our country? Free stuff for life. Steal from a struggling store? 0 consequences. Toil away for the best part of your life? Taxed to the eyeballs to pay for those who refuse to. Reform will transform the incentive structure to reward the very best of Britain and punish the worst. It will be glorious.

I am relieved that President @realDonaldTrump, the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House, is safe and that the attacker was neutralized before he could cause any further harm. Political violence, including repeated attempts to assassinate President Trump, should be unequivocally and forcefully condemned by all.
