Why does it matter so much to Christians that Jesus rose from the dead? Because if He didn’t rise, then He was just another teacher with nice ideas. But if He did rise… that means death was defeated. Sin was paid for. Evil doesn’t win. Hope is real. and Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be. The resurrection means Christianity is not just good advice. It’s good news. It means your shame doesn’t get the final word. Your suffering doesn’t get the final word. Your past doesn’t get the final word. And even the grave doesn’t get the final word. Jesus rising from the dead changes everything, because it means there is forgiveness for sinners, hope for the broken, purpose for today, and eternal life for those who trust Him. Every investor I know who quit did the same kind of thing: they spent 6 months analyzing and 0 months acting. Analysis paralysis kills more dreams than bad deals.

@BeardyBrandon When I just had a couple deals, I genuinely felt like I didn’t know anything. but people were talking to me like I had the same estate as trump. I jokingly called myself the real estate imposter to a mentor and he said it’s a right of passage all RE investors walk through.

Imposter syndrome hits hardest between deal 3 and deal 10. You know enough to see the risks. Not enough to trust your judgment. Keep going. That feeling is the bridge, not the wall.

@BeardyBrandon after having tasted creative financing, trying to get a bank loan is like drinking a gallon of vinegar.

Creative financing isn't some weird trick. It's how 90% of experienced investors actually buy properties. Seller financing. Subject-to. Lease options. The bank isn't the only path.

@BeardyBrandon I tried by doing repairs/flips on my own. wasn’t worth my time since I really wasn’t any good at it. found a great contractor and have done ~10 units flips with him over the last few yrs and has done great. huge stressor off me by delegating that

Delegation > Hustle. I didn't get to 14,000 units by answering maintenance calls at 3am. I got there by hiring someone better at it than me.

@BeardyBrandon multifamily. consumer debt is easier than ever and folks will need to live in apts for longer IMO with housing prices where they are and will continue to rise.

@BeardyBrandon I’m terrible at delegating. these are great points. But some investors are ok with being smaller. some ppl have goals of hundreds or thousands, some are looking for enough to provide them and their family with FI. peace of mind can be greater than growing for growths sake.

@realfrugalmogul we have a playroom filled with just their toys. there’s probably half they really don’t use any more but a good chunk mine still do. I catch myself sometime playing in there with them and being like “I have no clue who bought this but likely was on a grandma. haha”
