So on-field decision stands.
VAR's role is not, and ever has been, to create consistency of decision making.
Each is judged individually.

The worst part of the call IMO is not that it is wrong, but that the very next pitch to Vlad is identical and is called a ball. No consistent strike zone. A bit weird the tourney doesn’t have ABS given some of the other things it does include.

That is a bad strike three call on Juan Soto in the eighth inning. Shouldn’t happen period. Absolutely cannot happen in a game like this.
