Plenty of characters have a low skill floor but a relatively high skill ceiling. Surely you understand that right? Like sym for example, it’s safe to say even a bronze player can melt tanks with her, playing her at champion however requires a lot of game sense and good timing. Hog being able to one shot is the bare minimum, he still has all his weaknesses. You should really see how hitscans obliterate hogs at higher ranks. He’s good at punishing bad position and mistakes that’s why the typical tank player hates him

Take away Faker’s titles, he is still one of the best player of his era with a noticeable impact when he’s in game. Take away Keria's titles, he’s still the best ranged support player ever. Take away Rulers’s titles, he still has the best ADC mechanics we’ve ever seen. Take away Gumayusi’s titles, he becomes a player who left T1 and came last on his new team, with terrible mechanics his whole career, and some of the worst laning we’ve ever seen.

When I was playing World of Warcraft, I was the type that would go on raids, see we were not able to get through a raid, and I'd recommend "let's stop this one now, work on getting more geared up, and then come back in 3-4 weeks to try again." Instead, my guild would repeatedly beat us up against these raids for those 3-4 weeks, multiple times on raid nights, until we'd finally be geared up 3-4 weeks later and be able to overcome the higher raids. It was so frustrating.
