ハンター・シェイファーさんが主演のホラー映画「Cuckoo(2024)」の日本劇場公開をずっと待っていたが、突然アマプラにスルーで来たので邦題「カッコウ」を観た。カッコウの隠語と生態を”cuckoo's nest“にかけているのだろうが、さすがティルマン・ジンガー監督の長編第二作。さらにNEONなので、一筋縄ではいかない。かなり変わった映画だった。前知識無しで観たので、子供の頃に深夜放送で親に内緒で観ていた見知らぬイタリアやスペインのホラー映画のような、新鮮な感じだった。僕的には怖いところもあった。いろんな要素とテーマが織り混ざっている変化球なホラー。お気に入りのジェシカ・ヘンウィックさんも少し出てたし、楽しめた。
