Not releasing footage isn’t automatic proof of guilt. Sometimes footage is withheld because there’s an active investigation, family notification/legal process is ongoing, they don’t want evidence compromise or the footage is incomplete or misleading without context. But at the same time the public deserves to know the full context.

Want some truth? Not releasing Police Bodycam footage is an admission of guilt. The British Police are not releasing Henry Nowak’s. What’s that tell you…

@Beyondsimplify 88 fps in cyberpunk out of the box it’s super impressive for a newly launched GPU. I’m just concerned about drivers I don’t think gaming companies will let them access the information they require to optimize their software compatibility so it’s actually more impressive the 88fps

Just a reminder: Liberals unironically believe that Elon Musk rigged the election. They don't know how he did this exactly, but satellites and lasers are involved somehow

@Slick1662371 @DuckDuckLong @newstart_2024 War was extremely different before 1900, but the level of education someone has has absolutely nothing to do with their IQ. But I imagine they were huge liabilities and didn't learn much over time

@Captain_C2 @DuckDuckLong @newstart_2024 Well the iq test didn’t become a thing until the early 1900s, and prior to that most people barley had a middle school education. Do you think most people back then would have high IQs or that they were just real good at problem solving and learning how to do things over time?

Jordan Peterson dropped an uncomfortable truth on Triggernometry. The U.S. military that is desperate for recruits won’t accept anyone with an IQ under 82. That’s roughly 10% of the population. They’ve tested this for decades and found these individuals become a net drain, no matter how hard they work. In complex environments, the disadvantage is real. This lines up with ASVAB data. The military generally requires the 31st percentile (~IQ 92) but can dip to the 10th percentile (~IQ 81-83) in limited cases, confirming Peterson’s core point. Conservatives struggle with it. Liberals often claim anyone can be trained to do anything. Both approaches fall short. This one made me pause. We talk a lot about equality, but raw cognitive differences create real limits that are hard to solve. Ignoring or sugarcoating these realities doesn’t help the people at the lower end, it leaves them without practical paths forward. Do you think society can have an honest conversation about IQ differences, or is it too dangerous?

He touched on it there with his "you're at a marked disadvantage" comment, and sometimes IQ tests do fall short, but the vast majority of the time they're an extremely accurate indicator of intelligence and ability to perform cognitively If something is right 95% of the time, that means it's pretty damn accurate, even if there's a 5% error rate

@newstart_2024 I've never taken an IQ test; however, this situation somewhat resembles when people would scream, "Trust the science!" I question whether an IQ test measures empathy, fear, or other emotions that may influence actions or reactions. I'm honestly asking as a simpleton.

🚨 do you understand what happened to Kate Tolo.. 3 weeks ago Bryan Johnson tweeted "just gave Kate oral sex, goodnight" and 2 minutes later posted her vaginal microbiome report calling it "top 1% of all vaginas." 21 million views and a wave of mockery. Now he posted a photo of her getting a transvaginal ultrasound for suspected endometriosis. The same internet that called him unhinged went quiet. - 98.7% Lactobacillus crispatus, when only 25-30% of women are dominant in that bacteria - $2 million per year to make her "the most measured female in history" - 3 months to map her baseline because women need 4 measurement points per cycle (men do it in 1-2 weeks) - The same biohacker who injected his teenage son's blood is now trying to crack a disease 190 million women have If he actually solves endometriosis nobody is allowed to make fun of him ever again.
Bryan Johnson@bryan_johnson

Examining Kate’s 1% She has suspected endometriosis. This affects at least 1 in 10 women, likely more. Here she’s getting an ultrasound. Historically you needed surgery just to diagnose it (incisions are made in the abdomen). We're doing a non-invasive route. Typically women live with endometriosis for 7-10 years before being diagnosed. It’s the leading reason women aged 30 to 34 get hysterectomies (permanent surgery to entirely remove the uterus). This condition is where endometrial-like tissue starts growing outside the uterus, in ovaries, bowel, bladder, even the diaphragm. This tissue inflames, scars, and glues organs together. Our first step is to find out if @_katetolo has it. Initial measurements we’re doing: + trans vaginal ultrasound + pelvic MRI w and w/o contrast + hormonal labs All during the early part of her cycle to get the clearest picture. During her ultrasound, a slim probe, about the width of two fingers, 10-12 inches long (although only a small portion is inserted) is covered with a protective sheath and lubricant and gently inserted into the vagina (patient has to empty their bladder first). This creates real-time images of the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding pelvic structures. While inserted, the probe is turned 90 degrees to evaluate all the various structures, angles and views. There is no radiation exposure. The technician is looking for scarring, ovarian cysts, adhesions, and for organs that are fused together with tissue. This ultrasound can confirm endometriosis but it cannot rule it out. What endo does to the body: + 90% report pelvic pain + 50% report severe fatigue + 26% report infertility. However many sources cite 30 to 50 percent. + 50% experience pain during sex. + Many have pain with ovulation, bowel movements, and urination + Severe bloating called “endo belly” where the abdomen visibly distends There are a handful of theories about why endometriosis develops but the honest answer is no one is quite sure. We’ll keep you posted on her results.

Honestly, I take SO MUCH issue with how that whole MDI Sporefall neck situation was handled. If it had a different stat combo or even different weights of the same two stats then sure, but not a single point of damage or healing was affected by it vs. the Seat neck.

Leaving a legacy is tough. Its just a shame because a lot of the "brick shithouse" types of buildings that actually would last 1000+ years are basically illegal to build now because of insane regulations. If someone wanted to build the coliseum today, people would protest against its construction because its not "energy efficient" enough (or something similar), and it would take longer than 1 political cycle to build, so isnt really good for buying votes (the next guys get all the credit after your term is done)

Many Gen Z Americans think they should get to go for lunch and dinner at a restaurant *every day*, something no generation in any country has ever done, and if they can't afford it it's politicians' fault for crashing the economy somehow. Social media standards cooked us.

@CryptoMikli to boomers the problem is “youre spending too much on lunch” instead of asking why the restaurants are charging $28 for lunch in the first place
