I watched the whole Peterson vs Dawkins debate. Peterson is ropey on politics, but back on his expert subjects here, he did make Dawkins look banal. There is something asinine about going through every part of the Bible saying ‘But did it happen?’ Dawkins also struggled to counter the idea that the whole scientific endeavour is threatened if you don’t have certain moral/spiritual foundations in place (thus universities become anti-scientific and woke etc). In general, Peterson was prepared to step into Dawkins’ world, but not vice versa. Admittedly Peterson’s world is perhaps more esoteric, but Dawkins lives in a totally material plane that does leave a lot out. Peterson explains part of the problem in a pretty funny way at the end of this clip.
