“Pregnant women & people” “Mothers & birthing parents” “Breastfeeding & chestfeeding” This additive approach to inclusive language includes trans and non-binary people without erasing cis women. There is no conflict between women’s rights and trans rights, all can be supported.

@NotRightRuth @NannyKimbo It’s strange that services think becoming more inclusive will offend. I’m in the perinatal period after my first baba & would love to see the services I use to be more inclusive of trans and non binary people. It would only increase my confidence in them, not make me feel erased.
