@_BoldPolitics I honestly think it’s his framing of these issues as ‘affordability’ instead of ‘inequality’ that was one of his greatest assets. Inequality makes it sound like you could be able to afford something but you can’t where as affordability makes you think it’s the system.

He got all of the $20m, the label didn’t get any residual royalties, he got out of his contract and even got them to fund the real album because he made it at the same time.
