From Hezbollah's Operation's Room: On Tuesday, March 26, units of the 7th Brigade of the 36th Division in the Israeli enemy army carried out a reconnaissance patrol at a distance between the Mahbasat area, Taybeh axis, and the town of Qantara, with the aim of scouting and uncovering Islamic Resistance defensive positions. The mujahideen detected the movement and monitored it in preparation to lure the enemy into a well-prepared ambush. At 18:50 on Wednesday, enemy armored vehicles advanced in a long column from the Mahbasat area toward the town of Qantara in an attempt to establish control over it. The mujahideen had been observing the enemy’s movement until all vehicles entered the prepared kill zone. Upon receiving the order anti-armor units launched guided missiles at the middle of the formation, striking four Merkava tanks and a D9 bulldozer with precision, destroying them. Meanwhile, the rear formation of four Merkava tanks deployed heavy smoke screens to conceal its position, but the mujahideen immediately targeted them again with guided missiles, completely neutralizing them as they burned before their eyes. Simultaneously with the engagement, resistance artillery support units targeted enemy command centers stationed in the Taybeh project area, Rab Thalathin, and Al-Adaisseh, as well as reinforcement forces that had moved forward to evacuate casualties. The forward enemy unit attempted to continue advancing toward the entrance of Qantara, but was directly engaged with missiles by the mujahideen, resulting in the destruction of another D9 bulldozer and a Merkava tank near the reservoir area. This forced enemy soldiers to abandon the remaining vehicles, attempt to evacuate the wounded, and retreat on foot toward the Mahbasat area. The mujahideen succeeded in thwarting the enemy’s maneuver and inflicted heavy losses, destroying 10 Merkava tanks and D9 bulldozers. They also foiled a similar attempt two days earlier from the town of Taybeh toward the town of Deir Siryan, where 8 Merkava tanks were destroyed.

The surviving soldiers abandoned their vehicles and tried to evacuate their casualties, fleeing on foot back toward Muhaysibat while Hezbollah artillery pounded their command posts and reinforcements. Final toll: ten tanks, two bulldozers. An entire company's worth of armor wiped out in a single engagement. And this was the second time in three days. Two days earlier, Hezbollah destroyed eight Merkavas in a similar ambush on the Taybeh to Deir Siryan road.

The 20 detained delegates have been released but most of their phones and devices have been seized and DHS is refusing to return them till a later unspecified date. People had their bags searched and the contents of their journals photographed and denied access to legal counsel.

I was just there with another reporter for two days. I speak Persian so spoke to people directly, not through an interpreter. This is not what I found at all. I found a wide variety of opinions, including those who are supportive of the war, and those who oppose it and those who are ambivalent. There were also people who were pro-regime. There was no overwhelming sentiment in favor of the conflict.
