@daveatherton @GaryLineker David, I have listened to 3 interviews this week, 1 from an Auschwitz survivor and 2 whose family members were murdered there. Despite the presenter clearly wanting them to castigate Lineker, they all agreed with him, I'll probably take their opinion over yours👍🏻

@stwynn @Peston If I said (just as an example and not meaning it) "That your tweet is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard and you should be ashamed of yourself" That would be an attack on you. If I said "I don't agree with you" that would be my opinion. He brought nazi behaviour into this!

@SoNowUknow2 @Peston His comment drew attention to the similarity of language used & the potential intent of that language toward certain groups. Was he incorrect in his analysis? He didn’t say they were Nazis but that they were straying into language that led to persecution & distorted mass views.

@SoNowUknow2 @Peston I accept that there was a weakness in my articulation of my point of view but not that my point of view was weak. The point stands despite my articulation. The intent of language used by government being divisive is clear. Should that not be challenged? Or people not comment?

@stwynn @Peston No I am not agreeing with you. I am merely exposing the weakness in your own point of view. If I said this is like 1930's Germany. If a connection with the Nazi party was not made by the reader I would think they were either very young or uneducated. That is just me though.
