@kelon1235 I’ve never heard of any conservative complain about the “massive influx of Muslims” into New York prior to Mamdani’s election run. All of a sudden New York is poised to be the new Mecca.

Mr. President, don’t take your anger out on me - I’m just a silly girl. Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran and dragging us into war. It only took you 5 months to break almost every promise you made.

President Trump responds to @AOC’s call for impeachment. Manages to throw in everything from her test scores, auto pen, cognitive tests, Chuck Schumer. Too many topics to count.

@predatorcord @nerdy_bass @dggerisourword Online? A leftist will probably be mayor of NYC. Predominantly “liberal” areas are becoming hardline-left; they may not identify as leftists, but the policies they vote for beg to differ.

@stxcisim @nerdy_bass @dggerisourword Online doesn’t represent the American population. Leftism is gaining popularity, but still a margin of the population. And the average American falls slightly right even though they have radicals on the right. Our radicals on the left won’t do anything but hurt our image

@stxcisim @matt96h It’s groyper-esque and you understand that much. Yet you decided to validate an insane position with that framework? We don’t get to validate X country having Nukes because X country does too. That’s fukn insanity.

What are everyone’s thoughts on the justifications for the strikes thus far? The IAEA has come out and said there is no definitive proof of Iran mobilising its uranium for offensive purposes. Are there problems with this understanding?

@matt96h I agree with most of this. I don’t see why, though, Iran can’t have nuclear weapons. It’s groyper-esque, but why should Israel have nuclear deterrence but not Iran? Realistically, I believe all it would do is embolden Iran’s proxies; presumably that’s what you take issue with?

The issue is that it legitimises preemptive strikes for concerns that are not imminent. This is essentially no different to the pretence behind Russias invasion of Ukraine. The signal that is sent from this is that if you're a powerful regional actor, you can absolutely secure your nations interests militarily without a direct, clear, and imminent threat. Doubly so if you have support from a global power. That puts us in a less stable world. I have no issue bombing Iranian nuclear sites, they can't get Nukes. But I would have preferred that action to be taken as a result of clear and consistent intelligence pointing to military strikes being the only option with a clear strategy for what comes after and dealing with the potential consequences. I don't think the Admin did any of that. Instead what we got was Israel unilaterally deciding to engage in a path it lacked the capabilities for follow-through, and then the US came to provide that like some lackey. Sorry for the rant.

@redcountry99 In my understanding it must be further enriched to 90% in order to be used for creating weapons, and that’s exactly where they cease enrichment. Is it realistic for them to stock pile large quantities of 60% and then enrich them en masse to a further 90%? Is that normally done?

@stxcisim Definitive proof is going to be extremely hard to find. The IAEA said Iran has the capacity to create 9 nuclear weapons and that a nation amassing this much enriched-uranium and NOT creating weapons would be completely unprecedented.

@ComicDaveSmith You should’ve thought about this during the election cycle, keeping in mind that Trump withdrew from our nuclear deal with Iran. No sympathy for grifting, faux-libertarian, comedic hack-fucks. You didn’t mind any of this when your pro-Trump JRE appearances lined your pockets.

The most important question right now is what happens if there is a major retaliation by Iran against the US. What happens if Iran hits one of our bases and kills a bunch of Americans? Then what?

@predatorcord @nerdy_bass @dggerisourword Leftism is gaining ground in blue states as the radical anti-Trump option. People vote for it because it falsely promises to rid them of all the ails of the Trump admin, therefore it is just as important to address. Bernie’s socialism isn’t the solution to Trump’s fascism.

@nerdy_bass @dggerisourword If we have a whole political party with the only criteria is loyalty to Trump no matter how radical they get. Then We need to stop wasting our time worrying about leftist.

I think it would be awfully hypocritical of Massie and Paul to be so strongly against the war in Iran, yet stand idly by as AOC moves to impeach the man who illegally struck Iran, in violation of international law and contravention of the constitution they regard so dearly.

Democrats need to raise hell in backing AOC’s impeachment efforts. Everyone’s tired of the spineless tweeting; this is the DNC’s opportunity to effect real change.

I think Destiny has touched on this before, but the RW is constantly playing this game of “That’s so weird!” when after a single Google search I know the exact structural phenomenon and why it occurred in 7 WTC. Yet when you tell them this it’s: “Idk, still weird, bro.”
