The intro for State of Play was made entirely out of printed paper cut outs that I animated myself and then layered in After Effects. It’s about 80 different layers of stop motion and the number of photos is probably in the thousands (I lost count). 😅
The Cinemagraph GIFs are good for large scale email campaigns because the limited number of moving parts can be optimized quite nicely and maintain quality of most of the image.
