Subham Ram retweetledi

Every year during the Rath Yatra, the Jagannath Puri chariot follows an old custom by stopping at the tomb of a Muslim saint, Bhakt Salbeg.
Salbeg was a devoted follower who prayed from a small hut outside the main temple. The story says that as his life was ending, he asked to see the deity one last time. The heavy chariot stopped right at his door and would not move until his wish came true. This old practice continues today. The brief stop at Salbeg’s tomb remains a key part of the yatra, keeping the story of his faith and this tradition alive year after year.
