“It’s not a war, it’s a strike.” It was 900 U.S. strikes resulting in what radical Islam sees as a martyrdom of their Supreme Leader, which lead to a retaliation on 5 countries, attempts on our troops, with much more to come. The more you gaslight us, the more you lose us.

@Lowes looking for some help with a purchase I made. It is a toilet I purchased from your website. I ordered a while ago and we just got the contractor to put it in but when he opened the box, it was in a hundred pieces.

This week has been heavy. We’ve witnessed violence play out on our screens, and today we remember the loss and grief of 9/11. It is no wonder so many of us feel exhausted. Turn off the feed. Put down the phone. Social media thrives on keeping us glued to tragedy, but our hearts and minds need rest. We are human first.

Two things can be true at once: 1) It's a bad look for a senior politician to not know basic facts about an issue he had a strongly-held position on 2) Anyone can be caught out in this way. I could be caught out like this and I could make mincemeat of Tucker asking him exactly the same basic questions about Ukraine (I know because he constantly misrepresents everything from the country's religious and ethnic breakdown to its history). In fact, you don't even need to do this sort of crappy gotcha journalism: In his interview with Steve Witkoff both Witkoff and Tucker got several basic facts about Ukraine completely wrong. And most of the people gloating about this, including those with large audiences, could be easily destroyed with 2-3 such questions. The whole point of podcasts was to get away from this cheap shit and have good faith discussions with people.

Tempers are running high and this is important to say. @ComicDaveSmith and I disagree on some really important things (and agree on lots of others). I will always challenge him robustly when I think he is wrong and make fun of what I consider hypocrisies and inconsistencies in his arguments and behaviour. He will, no doubt, do the same. But I genuinely respect his willingness to debate the ideas and facts without degenerating into mud-slinging and insults. I don't like and would ask anyone who considers my opinion valuable not to attack him personally. All this stuff about him being a "failed comedian", "grifter", funded by XYZ etc is silly and wrong. People say all the same things about me when they have no argument. It's not true of either of us. The great thing about having the freedom to argue about things that matter is that we, collectively, get closer to the truth or, at the very least, get clearer about the different perspectives widely held in our societies. Personal insults do not help us do that, fun as they can sometimes be. Dave and I have debated once before in what many people called a productive, informative exchange. We will continue to discuss things we disagree with in a spirited but respectful way. If you respect me, please accord him that same respect. You can still disrespect his ideas (and mine). And keep an eye out for our upcoming debate.

I refused because I knew that I stood no chance to go toe to toe with you. My knowledge of the Middle East is minuscule compared to the Wiki page that you read about the Zionist entity. I know when I’m outmatched. I’m so looking forward to your @HBO comedy special. You’re one funny guy! Have a good weekend Dave.

There’s nothing cringier than an impotent senior citizen attempting to have a pissing contest. Please stop. Your grandchildren are embarrassed. Btw, we were offered to debate. I said yes, you bitched out. So talk all the shit you want, we both know what’s up.

Do you @ComicDaveSmith realize that you are finding justification for the atrocities of October 7? It would be more appropriate to say that the Palestinians have grievances, but nothing allows October 7 plus the promise to redo same over and over till not one Jew is left. In the meantime, the population of Gaza has been growing during the conflict because Israel takes care not to deliberately target civilians, which Hamas forces Israel to do. HAMAS MUST GO for the sake of Palestinians, for the sake of Islam and for the possibility of peace
Dave Smith@ComicDaveSmith

C’mon Konstantin, no one is upset about justice for the perpetrators of 10/7. The issue is the innocent people caught in Gaza & US funding. But if you’re playing that game, what reaction is to be expected if you occupy a people for longer than the Soviets occupied Easter Europe?

The plots of disaster movies that portray the end of civilization often begin with high-level Government Officials ignoring the warnings of Scientists. One of several lesson learned from the 2.5 hour @Netflix Documentary — Don’t Look Up (2021).
