Like I said. I don’t know if Apple was “forced” to fab with Intel but the WSJ does think there was pressure applied.

Intel has no fabs in China, only a 20 year old ATD site. What do you mean by 'stop business in China'? Intel sells products to China that are compliant with export rules. The point of CHIPS Act for Intel was to level the playing field... Taiwan/Korea have boosted their semiconductor industry for a long time with government incentives. US fabs are at a disadvantage.

The $280 billion dollar CHIPS Act was a mistake from the very beginning. Companies like Intel were paid to create jobs in America while not requiring them to stop business in China. The U.S. has lost 21,000 semiconductor manufacturing jobs in the last year. Republicans and Democrats who voted for it wasted taxpayer dollars and got us nothing in return.

President Trump is right, @intel owes American taxpayers answers TODAY.
Intel accepted tax dollars from the CHIPS Act, and instead of investing in America, they cut jobs in the U.S. and hired a CEO with a cozy relationship to the CCP. The CHIPS Act was intended to benefit America, not our adversaries. Intel should return every dime of this taxpayer funding IMMEDIATELY!
