Been informed it’s not guaranteed but it’s a 50/50 chance she gets it if just one LL spot comes up. This is due to them doing a random draw between the two highest seeds.

@TheTennisTalker @Fergus_Gav Yes, Galfi seems to have the existing spot- I believe that once the qualifying is over, any further withdrawals result in LL spots being awarded to the highest ranked in order (starting with Boulter) - is it is even possible she could get a bye if one of the 32 seeds withdraws?

@Always123BC @wagsischasing Didn’t they change the rules on that to avoid this scenario? Four highest rank loser in final qualifying round are selected at random for LL spots and Galfi has got the spot instead of Boulter unless there are further withdrawals?

WTA 🎾 Katie Boulter -5.5 (+105) (1.25%) While Kasintseva has shown signs of brilliance, her level of play is highly variable and contains plenty of inconsistencies. Unforced errors have been a common problem with her and she beats herself more than her opponents. She’s constantly playing the opponent and herself at the same time. She’s under 47% points won on serve over the past two outings and conceded 22 break point opportunities to Stefanini in what was an ugly 3 hour match yesterday. Boulter this year has been dominant and I love what Michael Joyce has done with Boulter during the off season and to begin the year. We’re seeing a more confident and stronger Boulter. While Kasintseva can be good at times, her inexperience and youth is still present and has been a costly factor in her game. I like Boulter to cruise here.

@TrueFactsStated In the UK - even though we saw a shedload of American TV and film - Chevy Chase was comparatively obscure. We didn’t get to see SNL, I don’t think the N Lampoon movies were well known here. His name was probably more famous than his face, until the (annoying) Paul Simon video!

Maybe just me but enough with the Chevy Chase coverage. He was funny for one year on SNL and made a number of enjoyable movies. Forty years ago. Enough. He’s not that interesting.
