Why the Military Relies on Wristwatches ⌚ (Not Just Habit, But Strategy) A lot of you have been asking why the military officers wears a wristwatch well, If you think a wristwatch is just for checking time, you’re missing the bigger picture especially in the military. In military operations, time is a weapon. Every movement attacks, reinforcements, air support, extraction is planned down to precise seconds. A delay of even one minute can expose positions, disrupt coordination, or cost lives. A wristwatch gives instant access to time without distraction. Next is synchronization. Before any mission, all personnel align their watches to the exact same time. This ensures that different units, even miles apart, act as one. When one team moves at 0600hrs, every other supporting unit knows exactly when to act no confusion, no guesswork. Then comes reliability under pressure. Military environments are unforgiving rain, heat, dust, shock, and water. Wristwatches are built to survive these conditions, unlike phones that can die, lose signal, or malfunction when needed most. There’s also security and stealth. Phones emit light, sound, and signals that can reveal a soldier’s position. In hostile zones, that’s dangerous. A wristwatch is silent, low-profile, and does its job without compromising safety. Finally, it builds discipline and time consciousness. In the military, being “on time” is already late you’re expected to be early and precise. Constant awareness of time sharpens alertness and operational efficiency. So when you see a soldier wearing a wristwatch, understand this: It’s not fashion it’s precision, coordination, and survival strapped to the wrist. If you're not following @Rise_Forge you're wrong.

About two years ago today, I lost it all. I was laid off from one company, and the other company I worked with closed down due to low funds. I was basically jobless. But the truth is, I wasn't so afraid, for two reasons: I had lost jobs before, not because I wasn't competent, but because the pay could no longer accommodate my expertise. And immediately I was laid off, I gave thanks and praised God, rejoicing as though something better was coming. Believe you me, in less than a week, I got a message on LinkedIn. The co-founder of a prestigious company in Canada reached out to me, telling me they loved my work and would like me to work for them. This picture was taken when I had the interview. The CEO interviewed me directly because the team was already pleased with my work, and to them, they had already hired me. I just needed to accept the offer. The best part? The pay was over 4 times more than my earnings from both companies combined. I attribute this to two things: one is definitely the God of the Bible, and the second was me posting my work, because the client would never have noticed me if I weren't posting. The lesson here: Keep showing up. Keep sharing your work. Keep believing that something better is coming. Your breakthrough might be one post away.

After a certain age, your parents slowly become your children. They ask simple questions, repeat stories, and depend on your patience the way you once depended on theirs. Very few understand this role reversal. What looks like innocence or inconvenience is really time coming full circle. Don’t correct them harshly. Don’t rush them. Care for them the way they once protected you. This is not a burden. It is repayment, quietly wrapped as love.

Learning cybersecurity on your own can feel quiet.👇🏽 📍No deadlines set for you. 📍No one watching your progress. Just you trying to make sense of things that didn’t make sense yesterday. I’ve seen many learners doubt themselves at this stage , even though they’re doing exactly what growth requires. Here’s what doesn’t get said enough: Progress in cybersecurity is subtle before it’s visible. Understanding comes before confidence. Consistency comes before results. If you’re learning right now, you’re not behind, you’re building something real. Reply with “still building” if you’re in this phase. Don’t forget to retweet to other learners that may need to see this.🔁
