@miraoreck Thank you for this Mira. Though, I fear online discourse is more about performative demonstration of bonifides, yours is a voice of nuance and compassion, something that is, alas, not welcome on this platform.

@SNETCampbell Awww geez Jamie, that looks painful but 8 have nothing but admiration for how you have dealt with your cancer journey. My spouse had skin cancer and I did know about the driving piece. Thank you.

This might help someone. I was told much of the damage on the left side was caused while DRIVING. Who puts on sunscreen before driving? Not me. Won’t make that mistake again.

@CraigBaird Thanks for this. Air India flight 182 that killed 329 people, 268 Canadians, the worst act of terrorism in Canadian history, should be on the list. Sadly, to this day many don't see it as sufficiently Canadian

@fatimabsyed Mine result was Global News and CBC and then NY Times. It is questionable to use individual search results to make conclusions around Google policy. Search does not work that way. I worked at CBC for years and in digital news with a focus on SEO

I just searched "Canadian wildfires" on Google; the top results are from CNN, CBS News & The Guardian. Google has long threatened to block Canadian journalism for readers in Canada, and it looks like that's started. That a tech company can control what I can read is terrifying.

Sad to learn of all the CTV News layoffs but it hits particularly hard to see friends @PaulCTV and @DHamamdjian lose their jobs. Have known Paul since the 1990s and Daniele for 13 years. Both incredibly dedicated journalists with exemplary storytelling skills. A huge loss.
