Our hearts were already full from ⁦@adie_con⁩ and now it’s the first day of Cohort 13! What a week. So excited to start this journey with another 48 new developers.

@OrganizeFISH What I think is hardest for me is accepting that, as a society, we don't extend grace and empathy as often as I wish we did. Myself included. We're all just human hopefully trying our best with what we've got in the moment. *sigh*

@OrganizeFISH Oh, @OrganizeFISH I'm sending ♥️ to you. That sounds hard and I can feel the hurt over here. I am struggling with similar today trying to process some of my own feedback without getting defensive or sad. But I'm deeply feeling both.

Struggling with one of my classes. Started yesterday with two q's: - What is one thing you've gotten from this class? - What do you need? Punch straight to the gut: "I need you to be a better teacher." Ended with: "I know you're trying." #ADHDteacher My RSD is FLARING.

I know we all write lots of recommendation letters, and it's lots of labor, but is there any better feeling than bragging on someone whose work you respect and admire? Slapping on a signature after raving about someone's work and potential is a feeling. #academiclife
